Directions:
- Basecoat
sky and water Baby Blue with No. 12 Wave Shader.
- Tip Corner
in Sapphire and Shade Sky top to bottom.
- Tip Corner
in Baby Blue and Highlight water top to bottom.
- When paint
has dried, double load Baby Blue and Lt. Buttermilk for shading and
Highlighting (keep Lt. Buttermilk on short side of bristles when
double loading). Blend storm clouds in layered fashion leading with
Buttermilk.
- With No. 8
wave Flat Shader paint choppy waves alternating Sapphire and Baby
Blue using chisel edge.
- Double
Load the Script Liner with Bittersweet Chocolate and Lt. Buttermilk
and paint short branches in tree area. Stipple Leaf Green
irregularly for tree greens keeping it very airy. Return with a
double load of Leaf Green and Hauser lt. Green and stipple with more
pressure using mainly the tip of the No. 8 Wave Shader keeping
lighter color to one reflective side (the direction of light, either
right or left but keep it constant)
Land
- With 12
Wave Flat Shader paint grass Leaf Green allowing wavy edge to create
irregularity of grass blades. Tip Wave in Hauser Lt. Green and
highlight tops of grass randomly.
- Pull up
Leaf Green lines with Script Liner for Hollyhock Stems. Use No. 8
Wave Shader and Stipple Leaves, tip corner in Lt. Buttermilk and
highlight leaf edges while paint is still wet and pull tip to round
the edges of the leaves. Double load tip of No. 4 Wave Shader with
True Red and Lt. Buttermilk and dot in a circular fashion applying
slight pressure to blend to paint Hollyhock Flowers.
- Double
load No. 1 Round with Lt. Buttermilk and Dk. Chocolate to paint
fence.
- Double
load Script Liner watered down Lamp Black and lt. Buttermilk, paint
wire along fence.
- Double
load 8 Wave Shader with Bittersweet Chocolate and Lt. Buttermilk and
Paint Path; tip corner in Dk. Chocolate and shade along left side.
When painting path, brush bristles back and forth in a sweeping
motion; when shading or highlighting, blend along one side.
- Touch up
grass with the 8 Wave Flat Shader and either a darker or lighter
paint color, whichever is needed to create highlighting or shading.
Double load No. 3 Round with Tangerine and Cad. Yellow using light
pressure, dot in dandelions clusters.
- Stipple
climbing rose foliage on fence with a double load of lt. Hauser
Green and Leaf Green using a No. 4 Flat Wave Shader and light
pressure to keep the vine small and airy.
- Double
load No. 1 Round with Spice and Lt Buttermilk and Dot roses keeping
flowers and buds small by using minimal pressure.

Path:
Double Load Wave Shader Dark and Light Color, Brush back and
forth. Shade one side with Dark color, Shade alternate side
light keeping strokes irregular. |

Tree:
Stipple Dark Color Lightly. Double Load
with Dark and Light, Stipple with more pressure
using more of the corner of the brush will give
softer, rounder appearance. |
Flower
Stem Line - Stipple: soften edges with
lighter color, add buds and flower. |
