Directions
1. Glass ball may be left frosted or basecoat with Blueberry using the
#8 shader or the sponge. If removing
crown before painting, use extreme care as glass is very fragile. It
is easier to paint half the ball, dry and paint the remaining half.
Two coats give best coverage. Using a brush will speed drying time as
paint applied with a sponge is thicker. Allow basecoat to dry completely
before transferring design.
2. Transfer pattern
to tracing paper and then to ball.
3. Basecoat the
snowman Snow White using the #8 shader. Dry. Repaint and tip the brush
corner in Blueberry and blend at bottom of face and under scarf and
at left side of scarf. Dot the buttons, eyes, and mouth with Lamp Black
with the liner. Paint the nose Burnt Orange with the liner.
4. Basecoat the
scarf area with Snow White, dry, repaint with Santa Red using the
#4
shader. When the scarf has dried, paint the white stripes with the
liner using Snow White. Dry. Mix Blueberry and Faux Glaze and using
the corner of the #4 shader, paint in shading at folds on scarf.
5. Pull one side
of the liner through Snow White and the other side through Raw Sienna
and paint the twig arms keeping the white paint to the top.
6. Use the liner
and Snow White to paint the lettering. Use the wood tip of the liner
handle and Snow White and dot the snow randomly.
7. Allow paint to
dry and spray Americana Sealer, matte.
