Chris Haughey

Like many of you, painting is as important to me as fresh air and sunshine. I have always been creative and "busy". As a child, I idolized my talented older sister. I watched in wonder as she painted beautiful oil paintings before she was 15! My goal was to learn to paint just like her. Even after she passed away in her teens, her love for art continued on in my eyes and inspired me to pursue painting. I attended Ohio University and majored in Fine Art (oil painting). After college, I sold paintings in furniture stores and restaurants.

Christy Hartman

Growing up I divided my time between wanting to be a teacher or a famous artist, since the “famous” didn’t seem to be forthcoming it’s a good thing that I chose to become an artist and a teacher.   I come from a long line of very creative people, my father is a sculptor and my mother is a very talented seamstress and loves to do needlework.  My family fostered in me a love for art and creative expression that I try to impart onto my students today.

Sue Beckerton

I've lived in this small town, in northern Ontario all my life.  I'm married and together we have 4 children.  I've been painting since 1997 and teaching since 2003.  I feel very blessed for the students that I DO have...they keep me going! Without them, I wouldn't be here!

Diana Putnam

It seems as if I have enjoyed art, in one form or another since my early years of crayons and coloring to paint by number. Later on in life I was mesmerized by those I watched draw or paint; and it seemed like magic watching the design appear. As I create I am still amazed at the progression from start to finish, the ability to blend colors, create depth and even add texture. I love a finish design which allows the viewer to participate in the art through their own imagination and or a related personal life experience.
